Grant County

Welcome to the Special Olympics Oregon – Grant County Local Program, proudly serving athletes and families throughout Grant County. We currently have one athlete and one volunteer participating in Athletics during the Summer Season, and we are excited to continue building our local program.

Our goal is to expand opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities by welcoming new athletes, volunteers, coaches, and supporters. We would love to grow our program, serve more athletes, and offer year-round sports training and competition. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact us!

Special Olympics Oregon is committed to empowering athletes through year-round sports, health and wellness programs, leadership development, and community engagement. With three sports seasons each year (see table below), athletes have numerous opportunities to learn new skills, compete, build confidence, and form lasting friendships.

Help us grow our program! We look forward to welcoming you to the Special Olympics Oregon – Grant County family.

ATHLETE HEALTH HISTORY RELEASE FORM

You must be enrolled and have a form on file before participating in any Special Olympics Oregon events, practices, or competitions.

  • The NEW Athlete Health History Release form is required of athletes joining for the first time and current athletes as they renew.
  • This form expires annually but no longer requires a physical exam or physician’s signature, so the renewal process is much easier.
  • This form replaces the old “Athlete Medical” form.
  • Complete this fillable form and return it to your Local Program.
  • Once the Local Program receives a complete copy of the form, the athlete will be eligible for practice and competition.
